Description
Ages 7 to 11. Ever wonder how artists make a drawing look so real it seems to lift right off the paper? In this class, kids learn the secret: light and shadow. Students discover how to turn simple circles and squares into spheres and cubes that look solid enough to pick up, using shading tricks the pros use. They will build their own shadow scale, learn where light hits and where shadows fall, and watch their flat drawings transform into 3-D art. A confidence-building class that leaves kids amazed at what they can do. All supplies included. Morning or afternoon session, 3.5 hours, no more than 5 students. Please note this is a guided art workshop designed for children who are excited to create, not a drop-off childcare service.
